Still lives

Still life painting grew from my love of beautiful objects and the desire to possess them. I am drawn to objects with a strong visual presence, those that captivate through their form, colour, texture, craftsmanship or sense of history. Painting allows me to collect and possess these objects in another way, giving me the opportunity to study, reinterpret and preserve the qualities that first attracted me to them.
