Harbour

The smells, sights and sounds of the harbour are unmistakable: the sharp scent of oil mingling with salt air, the hard, industrial structures of metal set against the fluid movement of the water. I am drawn to the tension between these contrasting elements, the weight and permanence of the machinery and the constant motion of the sea. Together, they create an atmosphere that transcends the purely physical.
