Interiors

The interiors of buildings offer a way of containing and preserving the emotions generated by the shapes, colours and forms. I choose to paint these spaces without people, allowing their stillness and absence to become part of the subject. This quietness creates an atmosphere, inviting the viewer to consider the traces of human presence that remain in the space. Through painting, I explore how architecture can evoke memory, intimacy and unease.
