Plants

With plants, as with everything I paint, I search for the emotions evoked by structure, colour and tone. Their architectural forms create intricate and compelling negative spaces, offering endless possibilities for exploration. I am also fascinated by the distinct character of each species and the remarkable variations in their form, texture and growth. Although plants share common qualities, each possesses its own unique visual language, an individuality that reveals the complexity and diversity of the natural world.
